About Dr. Sajjad

With an integrative medicine approach to gynecology and obstetrics, Rehana Sajjad, MD, FACOG, helps women of all ages live their healthiest lives. At her practice, Womens Health Care, PC, in Richmond Hill and Elmhurst, New York, Dr. Sajjad takes a personalized, caring approach to diagnosing and treating a variety of women’s health concerns in a state-of-the-art facility, where patients can receive a variety of tests and procedures under one roof.

Dr. Sajjad graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. Over the years, she has worked in Iran and Dubai as a general practitioner and an OB/GYN. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Sajjad worked in Queens, New York, at Elmhurst Hospital Center and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Queens Hospital Center.

Before entering into private practice in 2001, Dr. Sajjad earned her board certification and worked with Queens Long Island Medical Group in New York. For more than 40 years, Dr. Sajjad has practiced as an OB/GYN and gained valuable experience in a wide variety of women’s health issues. She takes a comprehensive, integrative approach with each of her patients so they can achieve their highest level of health and wellness. Her experience allows her to incorporate a comprehensive approach to the care of her patients through all stages of their lifespan.

Dr. Sajjad practices a core philosophy of enabling her patients to achieve the highest levels of health and wellness. She combines her exceptional problem-solving skills with a compassionate and down-to-earth bedside manner. Dr. Sajjad utilizes the most up-to-date resources for evidence-based health care and, enhanced by her excellent communication skills, strives to keep her patients informed and involved in every aspect of their health care. She is often described by patients as being "motherly."

Known for her compassionate, down-to-earth bedside manner, Dr. Sajjad combines evidence-based treatments, patient education, and her core philosophy of whole-person wellness. She is a strong proponent of technological advancements and thus has established a state-of-the-art office that makes use of one of the top electronic medical records solutions available in the market today. She provides lab and sonogram services in-house for added convenience for patients and to allow quick turnaround of test results.

Dr. Sajjad speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, and Persian.
